Brian acts on behalf of some of the world’s most valuable and recognizable brands, as well as many of its most exciting and disruptive startups, across a full range of trademark, copyright, trade dress and advertising matters. His practice includes litigation in federal court and before administrative bodies, enforcement matters, clearance and availability counseling, domestic and global trademark prosecution and portfolio management, false and deceptive advertising and product claims, and counseling on intellectual property aspects of strategic corporate transactions. His clients include house names in Internet, digital and social media, entertainment companies, alcoholic beverage producers, ecommerce and multinational retail corporations, pharmaceutical and life sciences companies and financial firms. Brian serves as firmwide co-chair of Cooley’s Minority Associates’ Group, where he helps coordinate and execute Cooley’s strategic objective to recruit, support, and advance exceptional, diverse legal talent.
