Robert is a commercial litigator with deep insurance knowledge. He has handled more than $1 billion in claims under various types of policies — including cyber, directors’ and officers’ liability (D&O), errors and omissions (E&O), commercial general liability (CGL), kidnap and ransom (K&R), property, environmental, and product recall — and helps clients place coverage and consider risk management more broadly. In addition to his insurance practice, Robert handles a variety of non-insurance litigation, including administrative, bankruptcy, product liability, and criminal matters. Before beginning private practice, Robert clerked in the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and US District Court for the Southern District of Georgia.
