Oliver is a European patent attorney, European patent litigator, and Chartered (UK) patent attorney in Cooley’s London office. His practice covers the drafting and prosecution of British, European and international patent applications for a wide range of inventions, with a particular focus on chemical and mechanical subject matter. Oliver has significant experience with pharmaceutical patents, including successful oral proceedings before the Examining and Opposition Divisions of the European Patent Office. He also has particular experience with patent prosecution in the fields of medical devices and organic electronics, as well as in the oil and gas sector. This experience has seen him work with a wide range of clients, from early-stage startups through to multinationals with large patent portfolios.
