Brett De Jarnette litigates a variety of high stakes business disputes in federal and state court. His practice focuses on securities litigation, where he has extensive experience defending public companies and their directors and officers in securities class actions, derivative litigation, and lawsuits centering on corporate law issues. He also defends companies and individuals in investigations and enforcement proceedings initiated by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the Department of Justice, among others. Brett routinely advises companies and their directors and officers on a variety of issues concerning corporate governance, disclosure obligations, insider trading, and litigation risk management. In addition to securities law matters, Brett has experience litigating complex commercial disputes, including consumer class actions, trade secret claims, and breach of contract suits. His clients have included public and private companies in industries such as biotech, internet, social media, fintech, hardware, and software.
