Brett De Jarnette

Brett handles high-stakes business disputes in federal and state court. He focuses on securities class actions, derivative litigation and defending companies in investigations conducted by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice. Brett also counsels companies and their directors and officers on corporate governance, disclosure obligations and mitigating litigation risk. He has represented public and private companies in industries such as biotech, internet, social media, fintech, hardware and software.

• Defending Kik Interactive in an SEC investigation and enforcement action centering on Kik’s sale of cryptocurrency called “Kin”

Brett graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University School of Law and was honored with membership in the Order of the Coif. During law school, he externed in Google’s legal department.
