Palo Alto – February 4, 2026 – Cooley advised SiTime Corporation (Nasdaq: SITM), the Precision Timing company, on its definitive agreement with Renesas’ consolidated subsidiary, Renesas Electronics America Inc., whereby SiTime will acquire certain assets related to Renesas’ timing business. The acquisition accelerates SiTime’s path to $1 billion of revenue as the premier pure-play Precision Timing company. Additionally, the companies have signed a partnership MOU to explore SiTime’s MEMS resonator integration into Renesas’ embedded computing products.

Lawyers Rishab Kumar, Rajdeep Bains and Queenie Chen led the transaction with support from Steve Tonsfeldt, Matthew Hemington, Matthew Choy and Sofia Chadwick.
