Laurie Bauer

I am passionate about partnering with founder teams and emerging companies at all stages of growth and levels of complexity – there is nothing more rewarding than playing a role in their long-term success. I believe that amazing founders and game-changing ideas can be found anywhere that innovation is allowed to thrive, including the vibrant entrepreneurial Midwest ecosystem.

Laurie is a co-founder of Cooley’s Chicago office and the co-head of the Chicago corporate group. Her practice focuses on the representation of emerging and growth-stage companies and the investors who support them. She advises clients on a wide range of venture-backed private financings and counsels companies at all stages of growth on day-to-day corporate matters. In addition to her robust emerging companies and venture capital practice, Laurie’s experience includes advising public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, US Securities and Exchange Commission reporting and compliance, and governance matters.
