Mist Systems Sells to Juniper Networks
Palo Alto – April 2, 2019 – Cooley advised Mist Systems, a pioneer in cloud-managed wireless networks powered by artificial intelligence, on its $405 million sale to Juniper Networks. Partners Mark Medearis and Steve Tonsfeldt led the Cooley team advising Mist Systems on the transaction.
The deal will enhance Juniper’s enterprise networking portfolio by combining Mist’s next-generation wireless LAN platform with Juniper’s best-in-class wired LAN, SD-WAN and security solutions to deliver unsurpassed end-to-end user and IT experiences.

Mist built the first AI-driven wireless LAN, which makes Wi-Fi predictable, reliable and measurable and enables scalable indoor location services like wayfinding, proximity messaging and asset visibility.
