    Cooley advised Chengwei Capital on the closing of a $1 billion tranche of newly available capital in its longstanding "evergreen" style fund, now entering its 12th year of operations. Chengwei is a leading Chinese venture capital firm that invests in early stage technology companies and holds investments for often lengthy periods over its 28-year lifecycle. Chengwei was an early investor in Youku, the "Youtube of China" and other prominent technology companies.

Established in 2000, GGV Capital is a cross-border venture capital firm that focuses on multistage investments in the US and China. The firm invests in a range of technology sectors and its portfolio includes Cooley clients Houzz, Pandora and Airbnb.
