About Wendy

Wendy chairs the employment & labor practice group and has more than 25 years of experience advising technology and life sciences entities, ranging from startups to public companies, on the full range of employment counseling and litigation matters.

Her counseling practice spans all aspects of human resources issues facing employers, including hiring and recruiting, worker classification, employee separations, personnel policies, executive employment agreements, compensation arrangements, wage-and-hour matters, and compliance with state and federal laws. She regularly conducts, directs and advises on workplace investigations involving whistleblower allegations, discrimination and harassment, and also advises employers on employee mobility issues, including trade secret matters and restrictive covenants.

Wendy also frequently represents employers in litigation matters in federal and state courts and in arbitration on a wide variety of claims, including harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, breach of contract, retaliation, trade secret theft and unfair competition. She has handled more than a dozen court trials and arbitrations through verdict and has extensive mediation experience, as well as experience with administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Department of Labor, the California Civil Rights Department and the California Labor Commissioner.

Wendy regularly advises on the employment issues – both purchaser-side and seller-side – involved in M&A transactions.
