    $200M Sale of Permiso Security to Okta

    July 30, 2026

    Cooley represented Permiso Security in its $200M sale to Okta. Okta signed a definitive agreement to acquire Permiso, a cloud-native identity security platform that detects and mitigates threats across human, non-human and agentic identities in multi-cloud environments. Permiso's technology provides identity threat detection and response capabilities using more than 2,500 research-driven signals across 70+ identity partners, helping organizations identify and respond to identity-based threats. Following the acquisition, Okta plans to integrate Permiso's capabilities into its identity security platform to enhance threat detection, risk remediation and protection across the identity lifecycle.
