Rubicon Technology Partners Announces Investment in Ascend Analytics

Denver – March 21, 2024 – Cooley advised Rubicon Technology Partners, a private equity firm based in Boulder, Colorado, focused exclusively on investing in and growing software companies, on its strategic growth investment in Ascend Analytics. Lawyers Kester Spindler, Amelia Runyan Davis, Zachary Sonenshine, Anne Luquette and Katlynn Bruce led the Cooley team advising Rubicon.

Galvanize Climate Solutions, a climate investment firm, and Silversmith Capital Partners, a technology-focused growth equity firm, joined Rubicon on the investment. The investment will accelerate Ascend’s product innovation and expansion of its suite of analytics solutions, enhancing the company’s ability to serve energy market stakeholders navigating an increasingly complex power grid.

Cooley previously advised Rubicon on its majority investment in Vimly Benefit Solutions in February 2024, its majority investment in Nulogy in February 2024 and its strategic investment in Tacton in August 2023.
