Mist Systems Closes $46 Million Series C

Cooley advises on over-subscribed round for leader in AI for IT

Palo Alto – March 5, 2018 – Cooley advised Mist Systems on its over-subscribed $46 million Series C financing round led by Kleiner Perkins. Partner Mark Medearis headed the team advising Mist.

The round also included participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Norwest Venture Partners, GV (formerly Google Ventures), NTT Docomo Ventures and Dimension Data. According to Mist, the funding will allow it to grow sales and marketing resources globally and continue to invest in engineering, especially in artificial intelligence.

“We are humbled by the amazing array of customers who have trusted their wireless infrastructure to Mist, and grateful to the investment community for their unwavering supporting of Mist as we fulfill our mission of being the leader in AI-driven IT,” said Sujai Hajela, CEO and co-founder of Mist, in a news release.

Mist built the first AI-driven wireless platform designed specifically for the smart device era. The Mist Learning Wireless LAN makes Wi-Fi predictable, reliable and measurable by providing unprecedented visibility into the user experience and by replacing time-consuming manual IT tasks with proactive automation.

Cooley previously advised Mist on its $28 million Series B financing.
