Clearlake Capital to Acquire Vision Solutions

Palo Alto – May 16, 2016 – Cooley is advising private equity firm Clearlake Capital Group on its acquisition of Vision Solutions from Thoma Bravo. The deal is expected to close later this quarter. No financial terms were disclosed.

Clearlake Capital is a private investment firm focused on private equity and special situation transactions. Vision Solutions is the premier provider of IT software solutions designed to protect data and minimize downtime for the modern data center.

The team advising Clearlake Capital is led by Mehdi Khodadad and includes Nik Talreja, Eddy Mata, Anthony Friedman, Eric Kauffman, Lois Voelz, David Walsh, Stacy Crosnicker, Peter Burns, Bryan Berman, Jacqueline Grise, Sharon Connaughton, Christopher Hutter, David Hopkins, John Crittenden, Caroline Camp, Buff Miller and Amanda Pacheco.

Cooley has a longstanding relationship with Clearlake, advising the firm on various transactions and portfolio matters since 2011. Most recently, Cooley represented Clearlake and AmQuip on AmQuip's entry into a definitive agreement providing for its sale to Apollo Global Management.

On May 9, Cooley significantly enhanced its global private equity group with the arrival of partners Ron Hopkinson, Eric Schwartzman and Stephen Rosen.
