SwiftKey Sells to Microsoft

February 3, 2016

London – February 3, 2016 – Cooley advised the shareholders of SwiftKey, including founders Jon Reynolds and Ben Medlock and various investors including Accel Partners, Index Ventures and Octopus Investments, on its acquisition by Microsoft.

SwiftKey is known for its predictive keyboard, which can be found installed on millions of smartphone devices and is powered by artificial intelligence.

“Given the number of parties involved and the short timeframe we were working with, this was a complex transaction but I am delighted that the founders, investors and shareholders generally have achieved their goal, which is a great case study for Tech UK” said David Bresnick, London based partner in Cooley’s corporate team.
