About Zoe
Zoe represents clients in all areas of commercial litigation with a focus on technology and data privacy issues. She has defended clients in a variety of complex civil cases from pre-litigation through trial, and represented them in state and federal courts, private arbitration and government investigations.
Zoe dedicates a substantial amount of her time to pro bono work. She has successfully advocated for an incarcerated client in a federal jury trial and helped clients facing reproductive abuse and trafficking. She currently focuses on defending the lawful provision of gender-affirming care for transgender minors.
Before joining Cooley, Zoe served as a law clerk for Judge Rita F. Lin of the US District Court for the Northern District of California. She earned her JD from Stanford Law School.
Before law school, Zoe worked as a biostatistician at Johns Hopkins where she researched HIV and the human microbiome. She earned her master’s in epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she studied genetic epidemiology and mood disorders. Zoe received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and is a proud alumnus of Georgia Perimeter Community College.
