The publication recognized the firm’s work across ten award categories – three for the entire firm, four for deals and three for individual lawyers.
Cooley was shortlisted as International Law Firm of the Year, Healthcare Law Firm of the Year and Private Equity Law Firm of the Year – International. Additionally, the firm’s work representing Gracell Biotechnologies in its $1.2 billion acquisition by AstraZeneca was shortlisted as M&A Deal of the Year – Premium, while the firm’s representation of Bitdeer in its merger with Blue Safari was shortlisted as Equity Market Deal of the Year – Premium. Lastly, the firm’s representation of Summit Healthcare in its merger with YishengBio was shortlisted as both M&A Deal of the Year – Midsize and Equity Market Deal of the Year – Midsize.
Three Cooley partners also were shortlisted: Yiming Liu as Dealmaker of the Year – International, Christina Zhang as Woman Lawyer of the Year, and Jingyi Xu as Young Lawyer of the Year.
The awards will be presented on May 23 in Beijing.
