London and New York – February 17, 2022 – Cooley advised Snyk, a leader in developer security, on its acquisition of Fugue, a cloud security and compliance company. Partners Ian Nussbaum and Ben Shribman led the Cooley team advising Snyk.

This milestone marks Snyk’s entry into the cloud security market, a fast-growing segment of cybersecurity. The deal is Snyk’s fifth acquisition in the past 18 months and comes after the company’s September 2021 announcement of its $530 million Series F financing, which was followed by an additional $75 million in funding for the round.

“Together, we’ll collectively reimagine what cloud security can and should look like for today’s modern development, security and operations teams, ensuring more secure innovation can flourish worldwide,” Peter McKay, CEO of Snyk, said in a press release.

Started in London and Tel Aviv, and headquartered in Boston, Snyk empowers developers to build secure applications and equip security teams to meet the demands of the digital world. The company’s developer security platform automatically integrates with a developer’s workflow and is purpose-built for security teams to collaborate with their development teams.
