Cooley GO Celebrates Five Years + Millions of Views
Palo Alto – July 1, 2019 – In the five years since the launch of Cooley GO, a free resource designed to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses, the microsite has been visited nearly 1.25 million times from people in 160+ countries.
“Assisting startups through all stages of growth has been a key objective of Cooley GO since we launched it five years ago,” said Matthew Bartus, co-chair of Cooley’s global emerging companies and venture capital practice group alongside Pat Mitchell. “Nothing speaks more clearly to the quality and necessity of our easy-to-use toolkit than the fact it has already received more than 3.3 million page views.”

Cooley GO provides access to guidance in a variety of areas and offers the ability to generate core legal documents, including a variety of financing documents. The microsite is regularly updated with new topics, content, features and Cooley’s quarterly Venture Financing Report. It also provides a unique breadth and depth of free legal and business content to assist the technology community.
Since launching in the US in 2014, Cooley GO has been used to generate more than 166,000 document packages, including 30,000+ incorporation packages and 60,000+ financing-related packages, and the site has received more than 3.3 million page views. It was expanded to the UK in 2015, the same year it won The Webby People's Voice Award, which has been acclaimed as the internet's highest honor by The New York Times. Cooley was the first-ever US law firm to win the accolade.
Cooley GO has continued to thrive. Today 25% of visitors return to the site for multiple sessions, and in 2017 Cooley released on the platform a new, open source package of customizable Series Seed Note documents.
