Corporate Counsel Ranks Cooley in Top 10 for Patent Litigation

June 23, 2016

Palo Alto – June 23, 2016 – Corporate Counsel magazine's annual patent litigation survey ranked Cooley #8 by volume of patent litigation, a rise of ten spots from the previous year. The survey ranks each firm based on the number of federal district court patent suits handled each year.

According to the NLJ survey, "the numbers demonstrate that despite efforts to curb patent litigation, it is still pervasive." In total, an estimated 5,828 new patent lawsuits were filed in 2015.

Cooley's IP group, which works with clients ranging from startups to leading Fortune 500 companies, excels at delivering sophisticated legal strategies in IP-related engagements including patent, copyright, trademark, false advertising, licensing, ITC Section 337 and trade secret matters.

Most recently, Cooley was again named to the National Law Journal's prestigious IP Hot List, which identifies the nation's top 15 IP law firms.
