Dot Hill Sells to Seagate for $694 Million

San Diego – August 31, 2015 – Cooley advised Dot Hill Systems Corp., a maker of software and hardware storage systems, on its approximately $694 million sale to data-storage company Seagate Technology PLC. The deal, which is intended to help enhance Seagate's cloud offerings, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Dot Hill has been a Cooley client since its formation in 1996. In that time, the firm has been the company's primary outside counsel.

The Cooley corporate team advising Dot Hill was led by partners Rama Padmanabhan and Tom Coll and included associates Nicole Van de Leuv, Matthew Robbins, Matthew Silverman and Sunny Chang.
