Cooley Advises Underwriters on Otonomy IPO

San Diego –August 19, 2014 – Cooley LLP announced today that it advised the underwriters on Otonomy, Inc.'s $100 million initial public offering. Otonomy is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of innovative therapeutics for the treatment of diseases and disorders of the ear. The company now trades of The NASDAQ Global Stock Market under the symbol "OTIC."

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated acted as joint book-running managers for the offering, Piper Jaffray & Co. acted as lead manager for the offering and Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., LLC acted as co-manager for the offering.
