Interview with Bradley Libuit
Bradley’s career is a standout example of what it looks like to grow alongside the most innovative companies in the market.
After building strong client relationships and an impressive corporate and securities practice at Cooley, Bradley made a natural leap in house to Instacart, a company he had advised since its Series C stage. There, he became the company’s first corporate legal hire and built the legal infrastructure to support a pivotal chapter of growth, including the company’s 2023 IPO. His story highlights the power of trusted relationships, sound judgment and the excitement of building something designed to last well beyond a milestone moment.
Bradely's current focus
-
Current role:
Vice President, Legal at Instacart (Nasdaq: CART)
-
Industry focus:
Corporate, securities and governance across the full life cycle of high-growth technology and consumer companies, from late-stage private through IPO and beyond.
-
What he’s building:
A durable public-company legal function built to do more than answer legal questions – it operates across governance, strategic transactions, Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, and the broader business decisions that run through legal. He also leads Instacart’s legal technology and operations team, which extends what the function can do and helps it hold up well past any single milestone.
-
What drives him:
The relationships. The chance to be the person a board, executive team or founder genuinely relies on when the decision actually matters, not just when the answer is easy.
