Interview With Bradley Libuit
Get to know Bradley, Instacart’s vice president of legal and a Cooley San Francisco alum, whose career reflects the kind of long-term relationship-building and business-minded legal leadership that defines many Cooley alumni journeys.
After joining Cooley in 2017 and advising Instacart through a critical period of growth, Bradley moved in house as the company’s first corporate legal hire, building the infrastructure that supported its path to becoming a public company. His story is one of trusted partnerships, practical judgment and building with the long view in mind.
- Current role: Vice President, Legal, at Instacart (Nasdaq: CART)
- Industry focus: Corporate, securities and governance across the full life cycle of high-growth technology and consumer companies, from late-stage private through IPO and beyond
- What he’s building: A durable legal function built to do more than answer legal questions, with real range across governance, strategic transactions, and Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, and a legal technology and operations team that gives it more leverage every year
- What drives him: Being the person a board, executive team or founder relies on when a decision actually matters and building the relationships that earn that trust
