About Tina
Tina handles a variety of complex commercial litigation, securities litigation and white collar defense and investigations. She has worked with a broad range of clients, including software and information technology, telecommunications, aviation, and life sciences companies. She defends companies and individuals in investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice. Tina also maintains an active pro bono practice, with a focus on racial justice work.
Tina received her JD from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where she graduated early with honors. While at Northwestern, she spent a year working in the MacArthur Justice Center’s Civil Rights Litigation Clinic, where she represented victims of police misconduct. She also was an editor for Northwestern’s Journal of Law and Social Policy and worked as a legal intern at the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago. While in Chicago, Tina trained in improvisation at The Second City.
Before becoming a litigator, Tina was an award-winning investigative journalist with a focus on government and police accountability, reporting for ABC, FOX and CBS affiliates around the US. Her investigations have been cited by the Tampa Bay Times, Politico and other media outlets. Her reporting also has appeared in publications such as the San Francisco Chronicle, Long Beach Press-Telegram and HuffPost. She is a two-time regional news Emmy nominee, receiving nominations for investigative reporting as well as the Special Achievement Award for Journalistic Enterprise.
