Thilini Chandrasekera
About Thilini
Thilini represents clients in complex disputes, including commercial litigation, arbitrations and government investigations. Her clients operate in a diverse range of industries, including technology, healthcare, consumer goods and real estate. Thilini’s experience spans pre-suit investigations to trial, post-trial motion practice and appeals. She has notable class action experience across multiple practice areas, including privacy, antitrust and securities law.
Thilini’s pro bono practice is similarly broad. She has won affirmative and defensive asylum matters, domestic violence restraining orders and record expungements for clients, and has worked on initiatives to combat human trafficking. Thilini is also a member of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Before joining Cooley, Thilini completed clerkships for Judge Edward J. Davila and Judge Beth Labson Freeman at the US District Court for the Northern District of California. She was previously an associate at another international law firm. In law school, she completed a full-time semester externship for Judge Marsha Berzon at the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
