About Sydney

Sydney’s practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution. Her technical knowledge is grounded in rigorous scientific training and real-world research and spans cardiovascular devices, gene therapy, cellular therapy and medical imaging. Before joining Cooley, Sydney earned her PhD in biomedical engineering, investigating novel therapeutic strategies to improve the function and survival of transplanted hearts.

With a background in engineering and science, Sydney enjoys translating complex innovations into meaningful protections. At Cooley, she intends to protect and promote groundbreaking inventions, helping innovators bring their ideas to market and ensuring their work achieves maximum impact.

Sydney plans to attend law school, aiming to offer clients a more holistic perspective on intellectual property strategy, regulatory implications and commercialization pathways.
