About Summer

Summer Brook advises emerging companies, venture capital firms, private equity funds and strategic investors in complex US and cross-border transactions. Her practice spans the entire corporate life cycle, including pre-incorporation planning, entity formation, corporate restructuring, ongoing corporate governance and strategy, venture financings, secondary transactions and M&A. She also represents investors across seed through growth-stage financings, including secondary transactions, follow-on investments and exit opportunities.

Before joining Cooley, Summer Brook was an associate in the corporate group of a US-based international law firm.

While attending law school, Summer Brook served as chief articles editor and executive symposium editor for Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review. Additionally, she competed on the transactional negotiations team.

Prior to law school, Summer Brook lived and worked in China as a Princeton in Asia fellow.
