About Steven

Steven D. Valentine is an eDiscovery counsel and manager in the litigation and eDiscovery services department, and a member of the Cooley litigation department. His practice focuses on eDiscovery law and management of electronically stored information.

Steven's experience includes managing all aspects of eDiscovery, including advising Cooley clients in strategic planning for responding to discovery requests in civil litigation and investigation matters. His counseling work includes advising on eDiscovery preparedness; implementing defensible data preservation and collection practices; conducting project management for review, production, and analysis of ESI and overseeing data disposition following case conclusion.

Prior to joining Cooley, Steven was staff attorney at Munger, Tolles & Olson, LLP, in Los Angeles and staff attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP, in Los Angeles.
