About Steve

Steve is a London-based associate in the patent counseling and prosecution practice group. His work involves both the traditional side of patenting, including drafting, prosecuting, and opposing patents and applications, and the commercial side, such as due diligence and freedom-to-operate analysis.

Steve has represented a wide range of clients; from individuals applying for their first patent to large companies with mature portfolios.

Steve’s area of interest is the life sciences and he has particular experience in patents relating to technologies such as immunotherapies, drug delivery compositions, gene therapies, oligonucleotide therapies, and nucleic acid sequencing.  Before joining the patent profession, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the National Cancer Institute of the NIH, where his research focused on cancer immunotherapies. Steve’s doctoral research was performed at the University of Cambridge and related to regulatory T cells.
