About Stephanie

Stephanie brings 11 years of experience in intellectual property litigation to her role as a resource attorney at Cooley. She has played significant roles in patent, copyright, trade secrets and breach-of-contract matters. She has experience examining witnesses at trial, presenting oral argument, and taking and defending depositions. Her practice includes federal court litigation, inter partes review proceedings, International Trade Commission (ITC) investigations and international arbitration.

Stephanie’s practice has spanned a range of subject areas. Most recently, she played a leadership role on teams defending an artificial intelligence company against copyright infringement allegations, defending a shapewear company against utility and design patent infringement allegations in an ITC investigation, and representing a life sciences company claiming patent infringement by a competitor related to its vaccines. Stephanie was a key member of the trial team in a landmark patent case brought by the federal government against a major life sciences company and the related breach‑of‑contract trial in the Court of Federal Claims.

Stephanie is deeply energized by her pro bono practice. She is proud to have been on the winning trial team in an Americans with Disabilities Act class action on behalf of incarcerated people who are deaf or hard of hearing in Massachusetts correctional facilities. She also has experience in voting rights litigation. She represented the creator of the “Pepe the Frog” character in high‑profile copyright enforcement actions, which led to a brief appearance in a documentary that debuted at the Sundance Film Festival.

In addition, Stephanie dedicates time to community and professional organizations. She serves on the boards of the Women’s Bar Association, Veterans Legal Services and the Hyde Square Task Force, and is involved with the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts.

Before attending law school, Stephanie worked in strategic communications, managing public relations campaigns for technology, life sciences and corporate clients.
