Simon focuses on mergers and acquisitions, including cross-border transactions, carve outs, restructurings and other complex corporate transactions. He represents public and private clients across industries. Simon previously spent six months on secondment at a multinational pharmaceutical corporation.

At Duke, Simon served as a staff editor for the Law and Contemporary Problems journal.

Simon’s representative matters include representing:

  • SERB Pharmaceuticals on its take-private of Y-mAbs Therapeutics*
  • Japan Tobacco on its $2.4 billion acquisition of Vector Group*
  • BuzzFeed on numerous transactions, including its sale of “First We Feast” and related sub-brands, including the internet show “Hot Ones” to Soros Fund Management, and its sale of Complex Networks to Commerce Media*
  • Jungheinrich AG on its acquisition of Storage Solutions*
  • Oslo-listed Aker Horizons in its acquisition of a majority equity stake in Mainstream Renewable Power, a renewable energy company with significant assets/projects in South Africa*
