About Sascha

Sascha Grimm is a partner in Cooley’s Commercial Litigation department and co-chair of the firm’s Women’s Initiative. Sascha’s experience spans civil litigation, regulatory investigations, and disputes arising out of product compliance issues, across a range of industries, with a focus on life sciences and technology. She also has particular experience in working on large-scale projects for clients in crisis management matters where there is a significant threat to the fundamental enterprise or reputation of the client.

In 2018, Sascha was listed by The Lawyer Magazine as one of the “Hot 100” lawyers in the UK. She is recommended by the Legal 500 and since 2019 has been ranked every year as a “Next Generation Partner.”

Sascha’s experience includes:

  • Acting for a pharmaceutical company in complex High Court proceedings regarding the conduct of a clinical trial.
  • Representing a Core Participant in the Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry and related litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
  • Representing a government in ICC arbitration against a national healthcare provider.
  • Conducting a large internal investigation on behalf of a client, which involved regulatory reporting, dealing with threatened litigation, and advising on the internal and external communications strategy.
  • Regularly advising pharmaceutical companies in relation to disputes with manufacturers and in respect of clinical trials.
  • Leading a large project for a global online retailer to tackle persistent cybercrime, including using various civil and criminal remedies available as well as advising on changes to internal policies and procedures.
  • Acting for one of the four defendants in a high-profile High Court dispute arising from the sale of Formula One.
  • Acting for a major online retailer in relation to trade mark infringement proceedings in the High Court.
  • Advising the owners of a Premier League football club in relation to a professional negligence claim before the Court of Appeal.
  • Obtaining various forms of relief from the English Court, including Norwich Pharmacal Orders, injunctions and worldwide freezing orders.
