About Philip

Phil is a commercial trial lawyer with extensive experience representing clients in a broad range of disputes in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels throughout the US, as well as in arbitrations in domestic and international disputes.

His principal areas of focus are:

Antitrust

  • Represents both plaintiffs and defendants in antitrust litigation, and provides antitrust advice to companies in the context of mergers and acquisitions.

M&A Disputes

  • Litigates a range of disputes arising out of mergers and acquisitions, including earn-out and other contingent payment disputes.

Trade Secrets, Intellectual Property and Restrictive Covenants

  • Litigates cases involving misappropriation of trade secrets and intellectual property, and employee non-compete and non-solicitation and related issues.

Private Equity, Venture Capital and Partnership Disputes

  • Represents private equity and venture capital firms and privately-held companies in a range of disputes relating to investments, corporate governance, partnership and management of portfolio companies.

Securities

  • Litigated numerous securities fraud cases in both state and federal court, as well as in LCIA and FINRA arbitrations. 

Sports and Entertainment

  • Significant experience in the areas of sports and entertainment, including litigation and arbitration involving Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer and the America’s Cup. 
  • Represented Grammy- winning recording artists, television and radio personalities and major entertainment companies.
