About Oliver
Oliver is an associate in the business litigation group in Cooley’s London office. He advises on a wide range of complex commercial, fraud and asset-tracing disputes, often involving a cross-border element.
He has particular experience acting for technology, life sciences and manufacturing companies, helping clients to achieve their strategic objectives – whether via litigation or other forms of dispute resolution.
Oliver’s recent representative experience includes:
- Acting for IQVIA in its successful defence of a High Court claim brought by Cardiorentis AG in excess of $330 million in damages for alleged breaches of services provided in respect of a global clinical trial
- Acting for the government of the Turks and Caicos Islands in one of the largest civil recovery programmes in the world, involving a large number of cases brought for the recovery of assets lost to corruption
- Acting for a UK pharmaceutical company in complex High Court proceedings regarding the conduct of a clinical trial, with the case settling just before trial with a substantial payment to the client along with its costs of pursuing the litigation
- Representing a core participant in the Grenfell Tower Inquiry and related litigation and alternative dispute resolution
- Acting for a large domestic appliances manufacturer in proceedings in the Technology and Construction Court
