About Nina
Nina focuses her work on patent drafting and prosecution in the area of small molecules.
Before joining Cooley, Nina was a postdoctoral researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where she developed and optimized a catalytic process for lignin depolymerization. Nina’s graduate research at the California Institute of Technology involved the synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of coordination compounds and mechanistic studies of their reactivity toward improved understanding of alternative fuel catalysis. She has published her research in scientific journals, including the Journal of the American Chemical Society and Angewandte Chemie.
