About Meredith

Meredith focuses her practice on representing companies and individuals in government investigations conducted by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the US Department of Justice (DOJ), and state regulators. She also represents clients in complex civil litigation. Additionally, Meredith maintains an active pro bono practice, representing asylum applicants and criminal defendants in federal court.

Meredith is a former law clerk to Judge George A. O’Toole Jr. of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She previously practiced in the government enforcement and white-collar crime group of a similar law firm in New York City.

Meredith’s recent representative matters include:

  • Represented an individual in an insider trading investigation conducted by the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and the SEC
  • Represented a cryptocurrency company in an SEC investigation into whether the company sold unregistered securities and operated as an exchange
  • Represented a private equity company in its response to third-party subpoenas in an SEC investigation into special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) transactions
  • Represented a Fortune 500 bank in an SEC investigation into accounting practices
  • Represented defendants in drug trafficking and gun possession charges in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York
