Mayssa Khattar

Mayssa advises public and private companies on complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions and other strategic corporate transactions across a range of industries, including technology, life sciences and consumer. Her experience spans M&A, strategic investments, capital markets, corporate reorganizations and debt financings across the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Fluent in English, French and Arabic, she brings an international perspective to her practice.

Before joining Cooley, Mayssa worked in corporate development at a leading global fintech private equity group, where she led legal workstreams on M&A and debt financing transactions. Prior to that, she practiced in the London office of a leading international law firm, where she acted as US counsel on significant cross-border M&A, capital markets and corporate governance matters. Earlier in her career, she served as international corporate counsel at a global venture capital fund. This background enables her to approach transactions with a strong understanding of clients’ commercial priorities and the practical considerations involved in executing complex deals.
