Madison (JJ) Meng

JJ represents underwriters and public and private companies in capital markets and corporate transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), other equity offerings, and high-yield, investment-grade and convertible debt offerings. She has represented a variety of financial institutions and issuers, including life sciences, tech and real estate companies. JJ also advises companies regarding general corporate governance and securities matters.

Before joining Cooley, JJ was a capital markets associate in the Hong Kong office of a Chicago-based global law firm, where her practice focused on Hong Kong-registered IPOs and debt offerings pursuant to Regulation 144A and Regulation S. While with that firm, JJ was seconded to Ant Group (commonly known as Alipay), where she worked on corporate and commercial transactions involving digital mobile payments, merchant acquiring, payment processing and cross-border settlement, and regulatory matters related to payment services.
