About Lesly

Lesly is a highly credentialed, in-demand patent attorney and trusted advisor to established companies, high-growth startups and venture funds. She helps clients build, scale, leverage and diligence patent portfolios to advance corporate strategy across the innovation life cycle. Her experience spans a spectrum of technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), mobile software applications, medical devices and software, semiconductor device manufacturing and related equipment, renewable energy systems, autonomous vehicles, computer vision, video surveillance systems, consumer products, materials science, electronic control and monitoring systems, distributed ledger and blockchain technologies, financial products and industrial designs.

Before entering patent practice, Lesly spent nearly a decade as a microelectronics process engineer at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where she conducted microelectronics and nanotechnology-related research, development and fabrication work for classified government projects. She holds a PhD in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, an MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and a JD from Fordham University School of Law. She also served for 18 years in Army National Guard aviation as a helicopter electrician.
