Kim Cifuentes
About Kim
Kim is passionate about supporting clients’ growth and innovation objectives from a legal and business lens. She counsels clients across the full company life cycle on a range of corporate transactions and commercial matters involving technology and intellectual property. Her practice includes advising on mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions and strategic commercial arrangements, with a particular focus on technology and IP diligence.
During her time at Santa Clara University School of Law, Kim gained in-house experience as a product counsel intern, where she advised on product development and drafted commercial and technology-related agreements. Kim also was a Google Legal Scholar, where she received mentorship and education from Google’s in-house and outside counsel and participated in programming designed for students pursuing careers in technology law. She also earned a Tech Edge JD certificate (with honors), a specialized certificate in technology law, and served as chair of the Tech Edge board for three years. Additionally, she earned awards for her top performance in courses, such as Negotiating and Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing.
