About Kaitland

Kaitland represents individuals and companies in high-stakes commercial disputes, internal investigations and investigations by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Trade Commission. Her corporate clients range from early-stage startups to publicly traded companies representing numerous industries, including life sciences, consumer goods, financial services and software as a service. Kaitland also maintains an active pro bono practice, focusing primarily on immigration, LGBTQ+ and reproductive justice matters.

Kaitland’s representative matters include:

  • Representing an ecommerce company in an expedited internal investigation concerning potential breaches of fiduciary duties by members of management and the board.
  • Representing a luxury goods company in a trade secrets action against a competitor.
  • Defending a former executive of a pharmaceutical company in an SEC investigation and securities class action.
  • Representing a software as a service company in an internal investigation concerning potential Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations.
  • Defending a consumer electronics company in a consumer class action.
  • Defending a group of UK-based individual and institutional investors in a US bankruptcy court adversary proceeding.
  • Authoring an amicus brief addressing the harms inflicted on Asian American Pacific Islander women by Tennessee abortion bans.
  • Obtaining a grant of asylum for a lesbian woman who fled Russia after multiple homophobic attacks.
