Kaitland defends companies in class actions, high-stakes commercial disputes, and investigations and enforcement actions by state and federal agencies. Kaitland’s clients range from early-stage startups to publicly traded companies representing numerous industries, including financial services, consumer goods, life sciences and software as a service. Kaitland deploys a business-focused approach to litigation and helps her clients achieve their strategic objectives at all stages of a dispute. Kaitland also maintains an active pro bono practice, focusing primarily on immigration, LGBTQ+ and reproductive justice matters.

- Defending an insurance company in a New York False Claims Act action arising from alleged violations of New York’s abandoned property law
- Defending a consumer electronics company in a class action alleging breach of warranty and violations of New York and Nevada consumer protection statutes
- Defending a mortgage lender in a class action alleging violations of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and New York’s consumer protection statute
- Defending a late-stage biopharmaceutical company in a Delaware trade secrets action
- Defending a former state senator in connection with criminal investigation by the New Hampshire AG and related license-revocation proceeding
- Defending a mortgage lender in a class action alleging violations of the New Jersey mortgage lending statute
- Defending a former executive of a pharmaceutical company in an SEC investigation, securities class action and related opt-out cases
