
About J.P.
J.P. is an associate in the Chicago office’s business litigation department, which focuses on complex civil litigation, criminal proceedings, and regulatory investigations in state and federal courts. He advises clients through all stages of litigation, including fact development, discovery, deposition preparation, motion practice, trials and appeals.
While in law school, J.P. was an inaugural member of the University of Chicago Business Law Review and served as editor-in-chief for the publication of its second volume. He also was the president of the University of Chicago Law School Veterans Society and a member of the Institute for Justice Clinic on Entrepreneurship, which advised emerging businesses on Chicago’s south and west sides. In addition, J.P. interned in the Criminal Appeals Division of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, as well as in the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois.
Before entering the practice of law, J.P. spent 11 years as an officer in the US Army, where he served in the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions and deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq.
