Jonathan has extensive cross-border private M&A experience, focusing upon acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, minority investments, restructurings and fundraisings. He has a particular focus on the technology and high-growth sectors, having worked closely with clients to support their scale up to exit, as well as acting for financial and strategic clients on their private M&A requirements.
Jonathan’s representative experience includes advising*:
- Xpansiv on its acquisition of a minority interest in Evident Group, with the goal of supporting the fast-growing international renewable energy certificate (I-REC) market and development of clean economy certification
- Vauban Technologies, a UK-based tech platform for venture capital fund managers, on its acquisition by Carta
- The Original Fit Factory, on multiple acquisitions, disposals and fundraisings in its scale-up phase
- Yamaha Motors on European corporate-related workstreams
- Google on multiple UK investments
- JCM Global on its acquisition of Game Payment Technology and subsequent joint venture arrangements
- Cognita on multiple acquisitions of private schools across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region
- Monument Bank on its equity fundraisings and scale-up related workstreams
- Getbusy on bolt-on acquisitions, restructuring and scale-up work
- Napo on its Series A and B fundraisings and scale-up work
- bp Ventures on multiple minority investments in relation to UK entities
- IHS Markit, an information services provider, on its $1 billion sale to News Corp
