About Jon

Jon advises investment managers, private funds and their sponsors on complex US tax matters across the full life cycle of funds and related investment platforms. His practice focuses on fund and management entity formation, seeding arrangements, partnership and international tax matters, compensation arrangements, debt and equity financings, and ongoing investment, operational and transactional matters.

Jon represents clients across investment strategies and asset classes, including private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, public and private credit, risk transfers, distressed assets, real estate, commodities and digital assets.

In addition to his core investment funds practice, Jon has significant experience advising on the tax aspects of capital markets, structured finance and securitization transactions, including collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), structured products, derivatives, credit-linked arrangements and other financing transactions. His practice frequently involves transactions at the intersection of investment management, credit markets and structured products, where he provides integrated tax advice across private funds, financing and capital markets matters.
