About Jake
Jake advises emerging and high-growth companies through all stages of the corporate life cycle, from formation to day-to-day corporate governance, venture financings, M&A and public offerings. He also counsels venture capital funds and other investors on financing transactions for early- and growth-stage companies.
During his law and graduate business studies, Jake founded and led a climate hardware venture that raised early-stage venture capital, pitched at venues including SXSW, completed accelerators like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s The Engine and was selected to Techstars. The founder’s experience gave Jake a firsthand perspective on building and funding a company, further sparking his passion for helping early-stage teams tackle their toughest challenges from day one.
Before law school, Jake was a two-sport athlete at the US Air Force Academy (football and baseball), a member of the Air Force’s skydiving team, and later served as an intelligence officer supporting special operations. He now serves in the Air Force Reserve with the Defense Innovation Unit and remains engaged with defense tech and veterans’ issues through pro bono service and community involvement.
