About Jacob

Jacob focuses on patent prosecution in biotechnology and healthcare. Before joining Cooley, Jacob pursued a doctorate in microbiology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. His graduate research analyzed the molecular components enabling beneficial bacteria-animal symbioses, with specific emphasis on bacterial RNA-binding proteins and transcriptional regulation. During his PhD, he supported university technology transfer as an ambassador at the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF).
