About Hannah

Hannah is a chartered patent attorney and European patent attorney. Her practice includes drafting and prosecuting British, European and international patent applications, managing international patent portfolios, and providing opinions on infringement and validity. Hannah has represented clients at oral proceedings before the examining division, opposition division and boards of appeal of the European Patent Office. She also has experience in co-ordinating applications for supplementary protection certificates (SPCs) in Europe.

Hannah handles patent matters relating to chemical subject matter, with the main focus of her practice being in the area of pharmaceuticals. She also has experience in prosecuting patent applications directed to oral and personal care products, food compositions, packaging, and mechanical devices.

Hannah’s technical background is in chemistry. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree, Hannah obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in inorganic chemistry from the University of Oxford, with a thesis titled ‘Towards Radiopharmaceuticals Based on Copper Bis(thiosemicarbazone) Complexes’. Her doctoral research involved the synthesis and characterization of copper complexes specifically targeted for uptake by hypoxic (oxygen-deficient) cells, such as those found in rapidly growing tumours.
