Gang counsels biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies on the strategic development of worldwide patent portfolios and has extensive experience in developing and prosecuting complex patent portfolios for small molecules, oligonucleotides, peptides, bifunctional molecules and ligand-drug conjugates.
Gang acquired a range of knowledge and experience during scientific research of oligonucleotide therapeutics at a leading biotech company before transitioning to patent law, with particular proficiency in prosecuting and managing oligonucleotide patent portfolios.
Gang routinely conducts intellectual property due diligence, for example, freedom-to-operate and noninfringement analyses, and has advised clients on patent term extension applications and conducted Orange Book listing investigations.
The Best Lawyers in America recognized Gang as “One to Watch” for Intellectual Property Law in 2024 and 2025.
Gang also actively participates in pro bono matters. For example, Gang prepared and filed discharge upgrade petitions for two veterans, one of whom received a quick approval. The other is still awaiting a decision. Gang also provided immigration legal assistance to an unaccompanied child referred by Boston KIND.
