Francis Li

Francis regularly advises private fund sponsors on the formation and operation of investment vehicles, and counsels institutional investors on their investment activities. Leveraging his experience in law and technology, he also represents emerging growth companies, including those in the fintech and payment sectors, on corporate structuring, regulatory compliance and strategic operations.

Before joining Cooley, Francis worked at several top international law firms and influential financial institutions, with practice areas spanning the corporate life cycle.

At law school, Francis served as co-editor-in-chief of the Peking University Transnational Law Review and as research consultant in the Law and Innovation Program.

Francis is a native Mandarin speaker and is fluent in English.
